assume you have an Assembly (all cyborgs/mechanics) army. When a unit has the integrated trait, it receives the benefit of any tactical or strategic operation from Synthesis when it is cast. There is some unfortunate overlap with operations.Ĭoncrete example for those not familiar with Synthesis. Dvar mods generally are about armor and damage, so the synthesis mods are nice for giving the option of changing hit and crit chances. On the flip side, it doesn't bring much to the table that the Dvar couldn't already do, making you predictable in pvp and have a harder time adapting.Īll but two of the Dvar units are mechanical, so synthesis has strong synergy by making almost your entire army integrated by default. So you can fully commit to dimensional instability for serious synergy. Though their units don't get any special features, which is a bit of a bummer.ĭvar Voidtech is quite good owing to all their units defaulting to kinetic damage. So it's somewhat more restrictive than other combinations, but still effective. Dvar does have the weakness with this that so much of their army is mechanical that many of the mods simply cannot be put on many of their units. You take it if you want access to that on top of your existing race. Psynumbra is essentially a self-contained psionic damage channel. You cannot go wrong with any race with these. They're fairly balanced as far as synergies and options for strategies go across the board. Promethean, celestian, xenoplague, and heritor are good with all factions. So what can your experience tell me about how to complement my Dvar society and units using secret tech? I wouldn't play those but feel free to share your thoughts anyway. Xeno and celestial are not gay enough for me. It could make for some terrific chaos dwarfs.įinally, I might consider synthesis but I haven't really figured out what they do and what to do with integration. I've taken a gander at psynumbra too and can see it's a really offensive tech. Would you ever have both armour and shield mods on the same unit or would you lose too much damage potential? It seems shield mods complement Dvar armour too but I'm not sure. I become the true master of terrain when I can choose to demolish or just pass through it according to my wish. What I really like in voidtech is the extra income doctrine (all four yields) and the ability to teleport my bulwarks. I mean hot) and fits the style but it seems they don't complement Dvar much, adding more armour and volcanic affinity where it's not needed. So far I've tried the two that appeal the most to me, voidtech and promethean. I'm looking for insight and ideas about what secret techs really benefit Dvar the most. It would take several complete games with each tech to figure out some stuff so I'm asking the community. I'm looking at the numbers but without thorough experience I can't really analyse my options. I have played the game enough to realize I don't know enough.
